Giant 2017 XTC Advanced 27.5+ 2 MTB (Green)
This product was added to our catalog on August 2, 2016.
Handcrafted with lightweight Advanced grade composite, this all-new hardtail gives you unlimited options for off-road adventure. In this 27.5+ form, itís prefect for adventure-style singletrack trekking. With large 27.5+ tires, you can float through rocks, sand or even snow. It can also be transformed into a race-oriented 29er or a more playful singlespeed setup. Wider Boost hub spacing (110 front/148 rear) produces stiffer wheels for added control while also increasing tire clearance and optimizing drivetrain performance. So forget about limitations. The XtC Advanced+ is a high-performance, do-it-all off-road machine for whatever adventure you choose.

Weight: The most accurate way to determine any bikeís weight is to have your local dealer weigh it for you. Many brands strive to list the lowest possible weight, but in reality weight can vary based on size, finish, hardware and accessories. All Giant bikes are designed for best-in-class weight and ride quality.
Wider hub spacing (110mm front/148mm rear) results in stiffer wheels for added control plus more tire clearance and an improved chainline for optimal drivetrain performance.
INTERNAL SEATPOST CLAMP:
A lightweight, all-internal seatpost locking mechanism provides confident clamping force with clean performance and aesthetics.
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 92-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
A massive rectangular downtube and oversized toptube work in unison to provide superior front end lateral and torsional steering precision. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped downtube yields unprecedented steering and pedaling stiffness.
Benefit: OverDrive provides up to 15 percent more torsional steering stiffness than straight steerer-tube designs. This translates into much more accurate steering input from a riderís hands, through the handlebar and stem, and down to the front wheel. Whether hammering uphill or carving through a corner, OverDrive transmits input directly to the front wheel for more precise handling.
Advanced Composite Technology:
Giant's High Performance-grade raw carbon fiber is used to produce custom composite material in our own composite factory. Extremely lightweight, stiff and compliant, these handcrafted frames feature the following materials and processes:
Materials: High Performance-grade raw carbon material features an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio.
Resin: High Performance formula provides excellent void minimization (bubbles) while maintaining outstanding strength. And vibration absorbing particles are added to help disperse road shock.
Modified Monocoque Construction: The front triangle (downtube, headtube, toptube, seattube) is assembled and molded as one continuous piece. This front half is then joined to the rear chainstays and seatstays in a secondary process. This process eliminates the outermost woven composite sheet to reduce weight without affecting ride quality, strength or stiffness.
