I replaced a rigid carbon fork on a 27.5 plus bike with this fork to smooth out the ride on the smaller stuff - and that is exactly what it did. The 2ish inches of travel has really good small bump/rock compliance. More flex than my rigid fork, but I expected that and really only barely noticed it on the slow stuff. The faster you went the better the fork ate it up, and Flex iwas not an issue , at least for me. On the bigger stuff you still need to ride it like a rigid fork - it just does not have the travel to slam into obstacles. You can still pop the front up nice and quick since there almost non-existent sag to overcome, and the fork is so light. If you ride smoother XC and want a fork to take the edge off without adding any real weight over rigid, this is the fork for you. Of course they put in on sale right after my purchase! I wish it was a couple hundred cheaper, but maybe it will be in the future. Looking forward to NOT servicing a suspension fork every year. Bottom line - ride it like you have a rigid fork and you will love it. Ride it like you replaced a good suspension fork and your rating will probably be lower. Excellent quality and craftsmanship, and the fork included the maxle and compression plug.
