The choice has always been aero or breathable when it comes to modern helmets. Even the prior generation of the Evade suffered the same fate - very aero, but don't plan to use it on a warm day. The Evade II is Specialized's answer to the problem. It is a helmet that is more aerodynamic AND more breathable that prior generations. In their testing, Specialized found that this is hands-down, the fastest helmet on the market and leads its class in ventilation.

Features:

  • Developed in the "Win Tunnel" (Specialized's own low speed wind tunnel) to be the fastest helmet out there
  • Deep internal channels that lead to large exhaust ports for class-leading ventilation
  • Patented Energy Optimized Multi-Density EPS combined with patented Aramid-Reinforced Skeleton for internal EPS support both help to manage impacts energy
  • Ultralight Mindset HairPort II micro dial fit system with height adjustability for the perfect fit
  • Gutter Action Brow Pad for increased comfort and sweat management
  • Comfortable 4X DryLite webbing won't stretch out with sweat or water
  • TriFix web splitter for easy strap adjustment
  • Magnetic buckle closure

Specialized S-Works Evade II Helmet (Black) (M)
I don't wear this much in hot weather, I got with my Prevail for the venting, but on normal and cooler race days I like the helmet. Fits well with my glasses and I like the magnetic closure. I've tried a few other helmets from Kask and Oakley and I think those felt like a better, more secure fit, but one had to much venting to be considered an Aero helmet and the other not enough to be comfortable. This seemed like the perfect compromise and if it's good enough for the top tour guys its certainly good enough for me.
