Wheels Manufacturing Shimano Road External ABEC-5 Bottom Bracket (Grey) (BSA)
This is the second WM BSA 24mm ACB BB that I have bought. I put one on a different bike about a year ago. This purchase was to replace Shimano's top of the line, superlight BB-R9100 Dura Ace BB that I put on my new climbing bike. There is no comparison between these two BB's. Although the Dura Ace BB is an ounce or so lighter, I felt like I was towing a trailer! Bottom line is the Wheels Manufacturing ACB BB far exceeds the Dura Ace in performance. Sure, the Dura Ace BB is much less expensive, but the bearings/seals have a lot of resistance. The Wheels Manufacturing ABEC 5 angular contact bearings are awesome! No more towing the trailer! Spend a few bucks and an ounce more. It's well worth it. BTW, AMain cycling has the best price on this on the Internet and shipped it to me in Florida for $1.99. It arrived 3 days after my transaction. You bet I'm a happy customer!
